Dr. William Proffit is the Kenan Professor of Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina. His textbooks “Contempory Orthodontics” and “Contemporary Treatment of Dentofacial Deformity” qualify him as one of the most widely read orthodontic authors.
Dr. Sarver is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina. He maintains a private practice in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Dr. Sarver is the author of, “Esthetics in Orthodontics and Orthognathic Surgery" and is co-author of “Contemporary Treatment of Dentofacial Deformity” with Drs. Proffit and White, and co-author of “Contemporary Orthodontics” with Dr. Proffit and Fields.
Dr. Dirk Wiechmann is a Professor of Lingual Orthodontics at the University of Paris VII and at the Hannover Medical School. He is the inventor of Incognito bracket system of lingual orthodontics. He maintains an outstanding private practice in Bad Essen, Germany. He has authored and presented numerous publications and lectures.
Dr. Hugo De Clerck has been Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Orthodontics at the Université Catholique de Louvain from 1989 to 2006. Currently he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and maintains a private practice in Brussel, Belgium. His research interests are in skeletal anchorage, biomechanics and orthopedics.
Dr. Dan Grauer is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of North Carolina, Department of Orthodontics. He is trained in dentistry and orthodontics both in Europe and in the US. His research interests are applications of CBCT in orthodontics, outcomes assessment in lingual orthodontics and interdisciplinary treatment planning.
